Not everyone can be ‘organically’ at the top of Google’s search results when they want to be, which is why companies choose to pay Google to appear there through their AdWords (PPC) Pay Per Click system.

Through bidding on chosen key search terms and setting a daily budget to use up that money Google places Ads into it’s search results for users to click on. These take up the top 3 positions of any Google search results screen for when certain things are searched for.

Google PPC used to have a stigma attached to it; that non reputable companies were using this method to cheat their way to the top of Google – This is no longer the case – Take a look at the results in the image below and you will see that the ‘big boys’ are favouring this method of advertising.
